Hello everyone, today I will share my opinion about recycling.

I think it is necessary for people to gradually become aware, but the fact of telling people that it is good for the environment is not enough. A person who has to use more bags to separate solid waste will not see advantages but a greater expense that will not be paid directly and that shows.

In addition, it should increase the state budget dedicated to building municipal recycling centers and more infrastructure so that recycling is easier and more accessible for all people, especially in communities with a higher rate of waste generation.

If companies recycle and make profits from garbage, people bother to separate that less people perceive some kind of benefit such as a reduction in the price of garbage bags, in the cost of waste treatment that comes reflected in your water bill or some other way.

Everyone would feel more incited to separate the solid waste if they knew that somehow it will affect their economy in a positive way and garbage collection companies would greatly facilitate their work and save a lot in the subsequent separation of waste that many do not do.

Of course, these remuneration measures should be accompanied by constant campaigns to disseminate information and methods for recycling. In this way, what would begin as an economic incentive to recycling, would be transformed little by little into a custom in the behavior of people.

Hello everyone, today I will talk about the trip I did almost a year ago.

In August of the year 2018, I went with my family to Cuba, for which we took a plane from Santiago de Chile to the city of Lima in Peru and from there, a direct plane to the capital of Cuba, Havana. It was a very long and exhausting trip, since the plane was small and narrow, so I could not sleep on the trip either.

When we arrived in Havana, the first thing I remember is the heat I felt as soon as the plane doors opened, it was so much that just going down the stairs and walking a little to look for the suitcases was already sweating. After that we went to a hotel called Riviera where we stayed for two days and took advantage of knowing the capital and the different historical points such as the Plaza de la Revolución and the Capitolio.

After those two days of tourism, we traveled to the city of Varadero, about 4 hours from Havana, where we stayed for 6 days. In that city there were beautiful and big beaches, so I really enjoyed the sea. In addition to this, I had the opportunity to swim and do tricks with dolphins. I was also able to dive and see up close the corals and colorful fish that swam around me.

That was the best holidays of my life, especially for the kind people and the beautiful nature that I was able to meet.

Hello everyone, today I will tell you about my expectations regarding the future and the postgraduate course that I would like to pursue after my career.

The postgraduate course that I would like to pursue is the master's degree in psychology, mention in community psychology. Mainly I would like to study this because psychology is one of my vocations that I left aside for choosing sociology as a main professional career. So, if I am able to study this master's degree, I will be able to combine two of my passions without having to change work.

The topics that I would like to learn in this master's degree are mainly related to community mental health and social exclusion and discrimination. Since these topics are of my interest and the knowledge that this master's degree gives me, they can help me to carry out more productive research.

I would like to study this postgraduate degree at the University of Chile, since I believe that it has a very good quality of education and I would also like to study in a combined way, to have time to work and dedicate myself to other matters besides academic life. Since I would like to raise enough money to, after finishing the master's degree, travel abroad and see the possibility of studying another career or dedicate myself to the labor field abroad.

Today I will talk to you about my favorite animal, the sea turtle. They are beautiful reptiles that are distributed in cold and tropical waters, most of them migrate, to procreate or to find food. In addition, they are cyclical animals, since most return to their place of birth to procreate in the same environment.

They are animals with a body designed to move nimbly through water, so they spend a lot of time there. When the females go ashore to lay their eggs, they have a hard time moving and it is a slow and fascinating process.

They are usually non-territorial creatures, so they are often grouped together in the same habitat. However, the turtles are solitary, since they are born they survive alone until they are old enough for the mating process.

Although turtles usually live between 50 and 80 years, they are in danger of extinction due to illegal hunting and pollution.

Sea turtles are my favorite animal because they seem beautiful and calm, I love watching them swim in documentaries and television shows about animals. In particular, my dream is to witness a turtle nesting season and see how the young hatch from their eggs to reach the sea. Also, I would like to participate in some association that is in charge of protecting them and taking care of their habitat.

Hello teacher and classmates, today I talk to you about one of my favorite’s singers, Chris Cornell.

His real name was Christopher John Boyle, but when his parents got divorced he takes the maiden name of his mother, Cornell.  He has born in Seattle, United States in 1964 and the magazine Rolling Stones places him in the 9th place of the best singers in history.

When Chris has fourteen years old, his parents got divorced and this cause he suffered a severe case of depression during his adolescence and this motivated him to learn to play guitar and drums.

After this he formed the band Soundgarden, one of the most important bands for the grunge genre of the early 90's.

I like Chris Cornell mainly for the feeling he conveyed with his voice in each song, he said that he "tried to see the pain as a scream", so many of his songs are loaded with a very strong meaning and feeling.

Due to that powerful voice that characterizes him, he caught my attention when I was 15 years old and when I researched about his biography I felt quite identified with his story and his way of using music to overcome pain and sadness.

Unfortunately, Chris committed suicide on May 18, 2017 in full tour with the band Soundgarden reunited after 12 years. But he left a very important legacy as one of the most important voices of Rock and one of the few Rock singers capable of venturing into different musical genres.

Hello, today I will publish about my current career and my vision of the future after graduating.

When I decided to study this career, I had a very different opinion about sociology; I thought that in this race only macro-social problems were studied and did not give enough importance to the psychological aspects of social problems.
That is why I could not decide between Psychology and Sociology, since both interested me and dealt with subjects that seemed very interesting to me.

But in my first year, I learned about social psychology and the relationship between society and mental disorder. So, I change my vision and from that moment I feel much more motivated to study and learn since I know what I want to dedicate myself to in the future.

In my opinion, society affects people a lot both in their daily coexistence and in their own interests as individuals, therefore, I consider very important the promotion of social health and the effect it has on each of the people.

Currently I am beginning to consider these issues to form my expectations for the future. I try to guide everything I learn in the line of social health, that helps me motivate me for classes and learn more.

After graduating, I hope to work in the medical area of sociology, performing a task similar to that of a psychologist but oriented to life in society and not so much to the individual experience. This is how I could connect my two vocations: medicine and social sciences.

Hello again, today I will talk about my dream job.

When I was a child, I dreamed of being a driver or mechanic because my grandfather and my father talked to me a lot about cars, trucks and motorcycles, so I grew up surrounded by that world.

When I entered school I really liked biology and medicine, so when choosing which career to study I also considered medicine and marine biology.

However, a history teacher very close to me told me about social sciences and especially sociology, that made me decide.

So far the university has been difficult. I like what I study and the teachers, although sometimes it is difficult to comply with everything.

I hope to work in the medical sector of Sociology and in the future to study automotive mechanics to fulfill that dream as a child.
